JumpStart Pakistan is three years in to conducting Shepherd’s Pie now. 2017 marks Season 3 to this initiative by JSP and is only just getting geared up. This Thursday, 11th of May, 2017, Bahria University Islamabad stood witness to the glory of Shepherd’s Pie 2017’s Islamabad Chapter.
By the blessings of the Almighty and the help of each of our sponsors and partners, Shepherd’s Pie Islamabad 2017 was a success of notable proportions. We thank all our guests and participants from any capacity for trusting us with their valuable time and helping make SPISB17 another feather in JumpStart’s cap.

StartUp Pitching Sessions:
The event had 2 startup pitching sessions in total. One in the first half and the 2nd in the 2nd half. The first session had 3 startup pitches

Whereas the 2nd half had 6 startup pitches

While LUMENA was given a special mention for their efforts, Ultimo IOT took 2nd place and it was Neurostic who took the game away by emerging as the Islamabad winner and qualifier for Shepherd’s Pie 2017 finale.

Panel Discussion:

The panel discussion is a tradition JumpStart has been solemnly following ever since they decided to take up the mission to change Pakistan. The Panel Discussion is a very efficient mechanism to make young minds listen to what people from the industry have to say about their struggles and successes. This time the topic for the discussion was “How we can individually play our part in changing Pakistan” and the panelists who shared their wisdom were.

Keynote Speeches:
The event had 5 keynote speeches in total. 5 speakers graced the event and the audience with their knowledge and experience.
The first speaker was Mr. Farrukh Mehmood – CEO 11 Values, he discussed the basis of JumpStart Pakistan and what it’s all about.
The second speech was by Mr. Fahad Suhail – Manager Operations Vheelz, he told the audience what Vheelz is and how it’s helping solve the traffic problems of Twin Cities Pakistan.
The third speech of the day and the final one before lunch was by Mr. Zaydan Khan – The man with a hundred talents. He energized the audience with his unorthodox style and amazing grip on human nature.
The forth keynote was by one of the sponsors of the event, PCHF. Mr. Abid Aziz who represented PCHF on stage described what they do at Pakistan Child Heart Foundation and how they rose from one child at a time to now being able to save multiple pediatric lives simultaneously.
The fifth and final keynote was by Mr. Abid Iqbal Khari – President Positive Pakistan. He came and he conquered with his loud and motivating style even when given just 10 minutes. He discussed how our own attitude is the basis to if we succeed in this world or not.
